The chief administrator Cup in Abyei administrative area which was organize in April and stopped due to rainy season is almost finishing.
In the tournament Abyei City FC will face Abyei United FC in the semi-final in Awol nhom playground. Abyei Super Eagle FC will be taking Amadjang in juol-jok playground. The two games will take place on 8th October 2021.
However, the date for the final match of the tournament is not scheduled. Still in sports, a team comprised of three members from Abyei Administrative Area is preparing to travel to Juba. According to department of youth and sports, the team will participate in JICA’s Peace and Reconciliation Tournament assessment meetings next week.
Head of youth and sports department, Mr. Victor Bol Dau, football coach, Mr. Mou Mijak Biong and volleyball coach, Mr. Akuien Chol make up the team.
Mr. Dau said the aim of the assessment was to identify games each state will be participating in. He confirmed his department readiness to participate in the next tournament with boys’ football team and girls’ volleyball team both under 20 years.
