The Episcopal Church of South Sudan diocese of Abyei youth office has organized a football tournament in Abyei Administrative Area.
Peter Yai Awan, the chairman of the organizing committee told Abyei FM on Friday.
The tournament is organized under the theme: “Let’s preach the gospel through sport.”
Awan added that the objective of the tournament is to bring back the youth to the church.
Other objectives are to promote unity, peace, and love among the Christian and non-Christian youth as they play.
Every match is started with a word of prayer by a pastor or an evangelist, and this allows for the gospel preaching to those who do not go to church.
