The Health Department in the Abyei Special Administrative Area (ASAA) is participating in the health sector transformation programs workshop organized by the National Ministry of Health in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the World Bank in the capital of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, Wau.
This came in a statement made by the acting Director-General of Health Department to Abyei FM on Wednesday, 15th May 2024.
Mr. Antar John said that three employees of the Health Department and the Executive Director of Ameth Aguok County will participate in the three-day workshop. Mr. John added that the workshop aims to discuss how to transform the health sectors of the counties, work with partners, methods of storing and distributing medicines, and the use of necessary medicines, in addition to evaluating the work of the health sectors in the counties.
Representatives of the Health Department in the Abyei Administrative Area traveled to Wau earlier this week to attend the workshop.
