The technical staff of the South Sudan National Women’s Senior Team has called up Al Darajat FC Wau player Akual Ramadan Thiik, to the provisional squad of National Women’s Team for the upcoming international friendlies in Tanzania.
Yesterday, Thursday 16th May 2024, the national team’s technical staff, led by Moroccan coach Karouane Sidi Mohammed announced a list of 30 players who will attend training at Buluk technical centre in capital Juba before traveling to Tanzania.
In a statement to Abyei FM, on Friday 17th May 2024, a member of Al Darajat FC Wau, Mr. Malual Deng, confirmed that the 19-year-old player, Akual Ramadan, was selected for the women’s national team squad, noting that the player was chosen in the team’s defense line.
Deng described her selection as well-deserved and the fruits of her diligence and hard work and wished her good luck and success with the national team. He also sent congratulations message on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Darajat Club to the player for receiving the honor of representing the national team.
For her part, Ms. Akual Ramadan, expressed her happiness at being chosen among the national players to represent the national team in the upcoming international friendly matches, and confirmed her readiness to carry the national team’s jersey.
It is worth noting that Ms. Akual Ramadan, helped her team Al Darajat FC to take the lead in the ongoing women’s league in Wau Local Football Association.
