The United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) handed over 3 offices to the Rehabilitation and Rescue Foundation for Abyei on Thursday 3rd October 2024.
The handed-over offices come as part of a quick impact project for 2023-2024.
Speaking at the hand overing ceremony, Brig Gen Vincent Moyo, the UNISFA acting head of mission /force commander said our commitment is to work together to improve welfare services for the people of Abyei.
He added that the Quick Impact Project is a special program for the local community and local administration of Abyei.
Moyo said, the UNISFA has no humanitarian mandate, but they are providing some basic needs through a quick-impact project.
He urged the community to cooperate with UNISFA and achieve much.
For his part, the RRC commissioner, Mr. Ajak Deng Miyen thanked the UNISFA for the great support.
Deng said, their meetings were held in UNISFA but starting from now they shall be doing their meetings with NGOs in their prospective place.
This marked the first constructed offices donated by UNISFA from the Quick Impact Project for 2024.
