The Chief Administrator of the Abyei Special Administrative Area (ASAA), H.E. Chol Deng Alak, has urged senior four leavers sitting for their secondary school certificate to work hard and represent the region nationally.
Dr. Chol made remarks on Monday during the launch of the examinations at Abyei Girls’ Secondary School. The tests begin with Christian Religion and Muslim Religion subjects.
“You must go back to previous years when the area used to compete at the national level” he stressed.
He added that the number of students has dropped due to the insistence on the quality of those sitting for secondary school certificate this year.
On his part, the Head Administrator for Education and Instruction Hon. Nyinkuany Aguer Bol, has encouraged the students to handle the papers with utmost focus within three hours of allocation and refrain from malpractice behaviors.
Aguer wished the students good luck and that they pass the examinations with success.
This year, 314 students sit for secondary school certificate in Abyei compared to 504 students in 2023.
