The United Nations on Monday set measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus in countries where its missions operate. The Department of Operational Support identified four priorities according to UNISFA’s website.

Preventing the introduction and spread of the disease in the country support, controlling the spread of the disease among its employees, providing the necessary treatment to employees exposed to the disease. Finally, helping countries with peacekeeping missions around the world.

Last month, UNISFA has prevented its staff from traveling abroad and not to return those who traveled to their countries to their work sites in Abyei until further notice.
