Community police in Agok in Abyei Administrative Area have arrested a 30-year-old man accused of raping an 11-year old girl in Nyinjou village last week.
Police investigator at Agok Police Station, Anuor Deng said they apprehended the suspect on Monday in the same village. Deng confirmed that the suspect will be taken to court after recovery of the victim and completion of all legal proceedings.
This is the fifth rape case recorded in Abyei Administrative Area this year.
