Police in Juba have arrested a pastor for allegedly holding Sunday service in which worshipers were gathered. According to media report, police arrested Abraham Chol Maketh on Sunday for defying Coronavirus bans on large gatherings.
Pastor Abraham is the leader of Cush International Church. Police spokesperson, Justin Daniel said the church leader will appear in court after investigation.
South Sudan government banned social gatherings and asked believers to pray at homes. The country has so far registered 34 cases of Coronavirus pandemic.
