The chairman of PTA for Ganga primary school is appealing to Water Department in Abyei Administrative Area and humanitarian non-governmental organizations to repair their school water yard.
Lou Angui says the water point is the only source of clean water to school children and the surrounding community.
He says the solar-run water yard stopped pumping water sometime back, due to technical problem in power supply, causing overcrowding on one functional borehole at Abathok health centre.
Angui prefers returning the water yard into a borehole that does not need solar energy or fuel to run it.
