
Abyei Community Action for Development (ACAD) has started giving food ration to beneficiaries of its “food for asset” project.
The project manager for ACAD, a national non-governmental organization advises people to engage individuals in agricultural activities as they wait for group activities.
Akot Deng assured that the beneficiaries will continue getting their food till group work resumes. This statement came during distribution of food ration for May.
Group activities such as construction of drainage channels, bridges and roads were stopped because of COVID-19 pandemic.
On their sides, recepients of the food express happiness. Food for work, is a program in which you work and get paid with food. It is funded by World Food Program.
