Agok local authorities to discuss COVID-19 pandemic

The Executive Director of Agok Administrative Unit has invited heads of residential areas in Agok, to a meeting he has scheduled for Friday this week.

The event will take place at Agok town hall at ten in the morning.

Deng Ali Bathbuny, Executive Director of Agok Administrative Unit says they are going to discuss ways to fight COVID-19 pandemic.

On Sunday, health authorities in Abyei Administrative Area confirmed the first case of COVID-19. The patient is a 19-year-old woman from Amiet.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic in South Sudan rose to more than 190 on Tuesday after 20 people said to be contacts of the previous patients tested positive.
