
The Health Administration in Abyei Administrative Area this week started transferring medical equipment to Amethbeek hospital.
The move is part of preparation to put facility into a use.
The head of Health Administration, Nyanwut Kuol says thirty beds have been taken to the hospital. She added that they will put up an isolation center for COVID-19 cases management within the facility. According to Nyanwut, the old hospital will be renovated as it has it cracked.
Amethbeek hospital was recently renovated by International Organization for Immigration.
Abyei Community Action for Development, a national non-governmental organization, is also repairing some parts of it. Abyei community donated beds and some medical equipment to Amethbeek hospital.
