Members of Abyei Legislative council have gone for a recess. The six months recess started on the first of June.
Achai Deng, the Spokesperson of the Council says the break is given to councilors to identify issues affecting people in their various constituencies. The legislator pointed that the councilors will resume work in September this year.
Last year, members of Abyei Legislative Council went for a more than 6 months recess, delaying their endorsement of annual budget.
