Community Police in Abyei town has arrested 12 young girls. The girls were caught during a crackdown on lodges Abyei town municipality organized on Wednesday.
Dut Piok Amuor, Executive Director of Abyei town municipality says the campaign is a fight against harmful practices. He says the number of girls in lodges has increased these days.
According to Amuor, those girls will be taken court for trial. He told lodge owners not to allow any girl to stay in the lodge and threatened to close any lodge sheltering girls.
