The Head of Education Administration in Abyei Administrative Area, Chol Pur Chol visited schools in Alal County this week. Chol was accompanied by other officials in the Administration.
John Ajang Kiir is the Director General of education. He says the trip was to assess the conditions of schools and challenges facing school administrations.
The team went to Mading Achueng, Awolnhom, Akechnhial and Malual-Aleu primary schools. The visit will reach all schools in Abyei Administrative Area to find out how prepared schools are for reopening.
The learning facilities were shut down in March due to fear of Coronavirus outbreak. When they will resume operation is unknown.
Kiir says they will renovate a classroom damaged by wind in Mach-Bong primary school.
