Rumamer County COVID-19 Committee has stopped its regular meetings. Deng Ali Bathbuny, Executive Director of Agok Administrative Unit is a member of the committee. He says no meeting was held this week due to insecurity.
On their part, heads of the residential area committees report they are continuing doing their tasks. COVID-19 Committee were meeting twice in a week.
One of the roles of the body is public awareness about COVID-19. There is one confirmed case of Coronavirus in Abyei Administrative Area.
South Sudan has more than 1,300 confirmed cases including 14 deaths as of June 4th.
