The elections for Abyei Local Football Union have been halted due to suspension of new season. The polls were scheduled for 20th June 2020.
Chol Changath Chol, Chairman of Abyei Football Association says, South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) suspended football season because of the Coronavirus pandemic. The new football season usually begins in early June of every year.
The current leadership of Abyei Football Union was elected in 2016.
