Community Police in Agok have advised parents to keep their children away from open deep-water sources such as pools.

Yousif Osman Said, head of Community Police in Aniet market says they have been preventing children from the water bodies since rains started.

He says children have resumed gathering near the water sources. Police are worried saying the children are at the risk of getting drowned in these pools. He added young people may also get infected with skin diseases because the water is dirty.

Agok seasonal stream that runs through Agok town is a recreational center for some children in which they go swimming. Some children and adults have drowned in it especially during rainy season when it is overflowing.
