Community Police in Agok are holding a 17-year-old boy for allegedly raping a 13-year-old boy in Aniet market. Community Police Investigator, Anur Deng says the suspect will be taken to court after being charged.

The incident occurred on Sunday night according to the police. The suspect says he did not rape the boy. However, he admitted sharing a bed with him.

The 13-year-old boy said he never had any sexual contact with the accused. The policeman urged parents not to leave children to stay with other people in the markets.

This is the sixth rape case police have recorded in Abyei this year. Last month, a court in Abyei town sentenced a 19-year-old man to three years in jail for raping a young girl.
