South Sudan Health official reemphasizes on social distancing as COVID-19 related deaths rise to 30

COVID-19 incident Manager has appealed to the public to curb the rapid spread of Coronavirus. Dr. Richard Laku also urged people to follow other health guidelines to prevent further transmission of COVID_19.

South Sudan ministry of health says deaths related to COVID-19 rose to 30 on Sunday. Eye radio has reported.

62 more Coronavirus infections were confirmed on Sunday bringing the total to 1755. 58 patients have so far recovered.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends keeping at least 1 meter distance from each other to reduce the risk of catching the virus.

The statement says up to 1,404 contacts of the confirmed cases are also being traced. Globally, COVID-29 cases are close to 8 million with more than 435,000 deaths as of Sunday.
