Food and Agriculture of organization of the United Nations is constructing a slaughterhouse in Wunruok South West of Abyei town.
Deng Goc, Director General of Agriculture, Animal Resources, Forestry and Fisheries told Abyei FM. He says the facility is connected to water yard for easy water supply and only electricity wiring is yet to be done.
According to Goc the site will be opened in a few coming months. The journey to the new slaughterhouse is about fifteen-minute drive from Abyei town.
Residents near the old slaughterhouse in Rumdheel in Abyei town had complained that bad smell produced by animal waste and noise were affecting them.
