Sudan extends airports closure till June 28th

Sudanese airports will continue to operate partially until June 28th due to increasing COVID-19 cases. As of 11th June, the country has 7,007 COVID_19 cases including 447 deaths.

No domestic or international flights will be taking off or landing at Khartoum International Airport till June 28th. However, only planes carrying humanitarian workers, cargo, oil workers and foreigners being evacuated can operate.

Abdul Hafiz Abdul Rahim, Civil Aviation Authority Spokesperson said the extension came after reviewing the decision taken two weeks ago.

Sudan shutdown the airports in March to control the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
