
The monitoring and surveillance officer in Abyei Health Administration, has advised people not to throw used face masks in open places or on roads where children can pick them.
Dau Nyok Chan, says there are some risk behaviors which he believes can contribute to transmission of the Coronavirus. One of them is improper disposal of used personal use items such as face masks.
Nyok said this on Monday, during an Abyei FM show on raising public awareness about COVID-19. The public health officials advised people to either burn or bury used face masks or gloves.
Coronavirus can be passed from one person to another through droplets from the nose or mouth of Coronavirus patient.
