More than 30 killed in intercommunal fighting in Warrap

At least 32 people have been killed in inter-communal clashes in Tonj North County in Warrap state. Local authorities told Radio Tamazuj on Monday

The secretary-general of the now-defunct Tonj State said communities involved in this violence are Apuk Padoc and Atok Buk-both in Tonj North county.

He said “Seven others were wounded and two villages were burned down.”

The fighting started on Friday last week and continued until Sunday. According the official, the violence seems to have been triggered by retaliation.
