The head of health Administration in Abyei Administrative Area on Wednesday started visiting health centers run by Save the Children International.
Nyanwut Mayen says the visit is to assess the infrastructures for possible renovation. She will also meet medical workers in these facilities and instruct them on right way to distribute drugs. The health official says she will also visit health centers managed by GOAL later with the same purpose.
Some of the public health facilities are facing shortage of anti-malarial drugs. This week, medic at Mading-Jokthiang health center said they lacked anti-malarial drugs for adults. He reported an increase in malaria infection saying they are receiving more than 20 cases a day.
