Preparations to receive the new chief administrator of Abyei Administrative Area, Kuol Diem Kuol are being made. The Acting Secretary General of Abyei Administrative area, Mading Anyang Kuol said the new leader is expected in the area over the weekend.
The senior official says a committee to welcome Mr. Kuol has been formed. Kuol Diem Kuol was appointed chief administrator of Abyei Administrative Area last week by Salva Kiir, president of South Sudan. He took the oath of office in Juba on Wednesday replacing Kuol Alor Kuol.
Two chief administrators and 8 state governors were named alongside Kuol.
