Bishop Gassis Relief and Rescue Foundation, a catholic church-based organization is registering vulnerable families in Abyei Administrative Area for food assistance.
The projects manager of the organization Kuol Deng Biong says the project targets 150 families in Abyei town and 200 in Agok. Biong says distribution of the assistance will begin in Agok next week.
The beneficiaries will receive pulses, sorghum, rice, and salt. 700 families have so far have benefited in this project since its introduction in 2018. The scheme that will run till 2021 targets one thousand and fifty households.
