The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Abyei administrative Area has risen to 46 including a death. Kon Thon Miyen, the acting director general of health in Abyei confirmed to Abyei FM on Thursday. Kon said 12 new COVID-19 infections were confirmed this week.
He urged the public to follow measures set to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. The virus is transmitted from one person to another through droplets from mouth or nose of an infected person. Constant hand washing, keeping a social distancing and wearing face masks are some ways to protect oneself from the Coronavirus.
