A 14-year-old girl who was held at Agok police station for suicide threat was released on Thursday. Community Police said the girl changed her plan to kill herself after her fiancé agreed to support her financially.
The police say the minor was already charged with attempted suicide under article 2013 of South Sudan penal code, 2008.
Deng John Yak says the girl will stay with her parents until she reaches marriageable age. The policeman revealed that they settled another similar case on Thursday.
