Abyei Youth Union have named forty-eight candidates including nine youth to serve in the administration to be formed. The Secretary of Abyei Youth Union, Lual Kuol says the list will be submitted to the chief administrator of Abyei administrative Area on Wednesday.
Out of these candidates, eighteen will be appointed as heads of various administrations, commissions, advisers, and county commissioners. The new Chief Administrator, Kuol Deim Kuol has been busy holding consultative meetings since his arrival last week.
The nomination is a long process. Women associations and the nine Ngok Dinka clans are also identifying people of their choice. It is among these names that the Chief Administrator will pick those who meet the requirements to work with him.
Kuol had begged the community to give him people who will deliver services, threatening poor performance with dismissal.
