The acting director-general in Abyei Administrative Area, has warned pharmacists against selling of medicines with tags of the ministry of health. Kon Thon Mayen says anyone caught selling these drugs would face the law. But he never mentioned the nature of punishment.
The official described the availability of medicines from the government in private clinics for sale as a “shame.” He says these medicines are donated to save lives of the people. Kon told the public to report anyone selling drugs with government tag to concerned authorities.
Ajak Deng Chol, a pharmacist operating in Agok says he is not selling such product in his pharmacy. He advised other pharmacists to obey the regulations set by authorities.
