Gunmen kill five, injure others in Ajak-Kuac, Warrap state

 

Five people were killed, and five others were injured in an arm attack on Ajak-Kuac, Twic county, Warrap state on Monday.

Head of security in the area, Colonel Paul Ayul Minyang, confirmed to Abyei FM that gunmen attacked the area at nine in the evening, killing two women and their two children. 

According to the army officer, one of the attackers was found dead  following an exchange of gunfire with civilians, bringing the total number of deaths to five.   

The wounded are being treated at MSF hospital in Agok, Abyei Administrative Area. Paul believed the attackers’ motive was to raid cattle.
