
A body of a man in early thirties was found floating on the stream in Agok, Abyei Administrative Area on Thursday evening.
Agok community police investigator, Anur Deng Magak says the man identified as a resident of Achol Kou in Rumamer county drowned on Wednesday.
Police investigation shows the man was seen drunk the day he got drowned.
To prevent similar death, the police officer urged public to help vulnerable people and those under the influence of alcohol cross the stream.
Such incidents happens mostly during rainy season when the rivers are overflowing, but this one is the first since the beginning of this year, according to police.
