Abyei football Academy received 50 footballs from South Sudan Football Association on Tuesday. Mayol Deng Dau the Founder and President of the academy said on Thursday
Deng who described his visit to Juba as a” success” said the assistance will help promote sports in the area. He added that he is planning to expand the academy by opening branches in Agok, Juol-jok and Wunruok village near Abyei town.
Established in Abyei town in 2014, the school trains boys from 8 to 17 years on how to play football.
Deng said South Sudan Football Association is interested in his team and wants to identify some good players who will be playing in South Sudan under-eighteen teams. .
