East Africa FC has been crowned champion of the martyrs’ tournament in Abyei Administrative Area. This comes after beating Al Mariekh by 2 goals to 1 at Mulmul playground on Sunday in Abyei Town.
The team won the trophy after taking part in local football tournament in which 14 teams participated. The best player, scorer and goalkeeper were also honored with trophies due to their extraordinary performances during the tournament.
The trophies were handed over after the final match by Rumammer County Commissioner Mayot Kunit on behalf of Abyei chief administrator.
The competition which ended over the weekend started in February, but it was suspended due to Covid-19. It later on resumed after restrictions to prevent covid-19 were relaxed and business activities resumed.
