A child was burnt to death in Abyei Town of Abyei Administrative Area on Thursday evening.
The head of community police in Abyei says, the 2-year-old girl and a relative were sleeping when the fire caught their building. The mother was absent when the incident occurred.
Deng Mangar says the cause of the fire is unclear, but they will launch an investigation soon. The policeman advised people to put off fire before they sleep to prevent fire outbreak.
Last year, fire killed three – mainly children in the area.
