Abyei Administrative Area on Tuesday received more than one hundred doses of AstraZeneca vaccines against Covid-19.
The vaccine was sent from Juba by South Sudan’s health ministry with support from World Health Organization and UNICEF.

Nyanwut stated that the vaccines brought will help in fighting the virus in Abyei. Abyei Administrative Area has 160 confirmed cases of Covid-19 including 11 deaths.
According to the official, vaccination campaign against the coronavirus will begin after the training of health workers on how to administer it.
