Authorities in Alal county in Abyei Administrative Area have warned against illegal collection of revenues. In a local order issued about two weeks ago, the county warned to arrest or fine those involved in unofficial tax collection.
The executive director of Alal County said they have observed that some officials were cheating the public. Mr. Luar Mayol pointed out collection of taxes without official revenue collection document called Form 15 is not allowed. He appealed to public to report such cases to concerned authorities.
Mr. Ayiik Malei, a resident in Minyang Anyiel agreed with the decision. He says the order is important in controlling behaviors and protecting the forests.
