Community police in Abyei Town in Abyei Administrative Area reported unknown gunmen opened fire on a commercial vehicle on its way from Abyei Town to Amiet market on Tuesday.
According to police information from Amiet, two got injured in the incident. Preliminary report says that the victims (a man and a women) who sustained injuries were escorted to Todach by Pakistani contingent of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) for medical first aid.
Monykuer Deng said they didn’t receive information about health condition of the wounded. This is the second shooting incident on vehicles on Amiet -Abyei road since April this year.
