The administration of Education, Information, Culture, Youth and Sport announced the reintroduction of school feeding in all Abyei’s schools starting from August 2022.
The announcement came during a meeting with a representative of World Food Program at the administration’s premises last Friday.
The caretaker head of Education, Hon. Ajak Deng Miyen said absence of feeding at schools had seriously affected pupils’ concentration. He hoped that it will be an incentive for learners.
On her part, Adau Deng Kuol a mother of pupils in different learning institutions expressed happiness for reinstatement of school feeding program. She said she was worried about children’s breakfast at schooling and its effect on pupils’ learning ability.
