Yei Archbishop engages Ngok and Twic staff at UNISFA

The Evangelical Archbishop of Yei, His Eminence Elias Taban and his delegation met separately with Ngok and Twic Dinka staff working for the United Nations Interim Security for Abyei (UNISFA). This is according to a press release by the mission’s public information office.

The meeting took place at the mission headquarters in Abyei Town on Thursday 17th November 2022.

The delegation was in Abyei on a two-day visit to mediate the conflict between Ngok Dinka and Twic communities.

His Eminence Bishop Elias and accompanying delegation has also met UNISFA leadership to understand the intercommunal conflict that displaced thousands and led to the loss of lives and property.

Prior this meeting Bishop Elias met Abyei area government, traditional authority, youth, and women.

The delegation traveled to Twic County for further mediation with the community there.
